• Connor Hellebuyck – the USA Men’s Hockey Team's goalie – was presented with highest civilian honor in our country, the Presidential Medal of freedom.
• 100-year-old Korean War Veteran Royce Williams was presented by President Trump with the Medal of Honor.
• Coast Guard Petty Officer Scott Ruskan was awarded the Legion of Merit Medal for his heroic actions during last year’s Central Texas floods.
• Dalilah Coleman: A little girl who was hit by an 18-wheeler driven by an illegal immigrant.
• Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk.
• The parents of Sarah Beckstrom – the National Guardsman who was fatally shot in D.C. – were presented with the Purple Heart posthumously.
• Democrats refused to stand for the parents of Iryna Zarutska, the woman was brutally murdered on the Charlotte light rail by a violent repeat criminal.
• Eric Slover, the Chief Warrant Officer who was injured during the Maduro raid, was presented the Medal of Honor by President Trump.
• Lizbeth Medina, a 16-year-old high school cheerleader from Texas who was brutally killed by an illegal immigrant, was honored.

Democrats Put America Last and Disrespected America’s Heroes

• In a despicable display, Democrats refused to stand and clap for some of our country’s finest and our nation’s great accomplishments.
• Democrats refused to stand when President Trump said, “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the government is to protect American citizens not illegal aliens."
• Democrats refused to stand when President Trump called for justice for Iryna Zarutskaafter she was murdered by a criminal in North Carolina released by Democrat Governor Roy Cooper.
• Democrat Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib had a meltdown as President Trump talked about removing violent criminal illegal aliens from our country.
• Democrats stayed seated as President Trump welcomed the gold-medal winning U.S. Men's Olympic Hockey Team.
• Democrats remained seated when President Trump championed new jobs, plummeting inflation, historic drop in fentanyl smuggling, a secure border, and low gas prices.
• Democrats refused to applaud for protecting Social Security and Medicare from fraud.

Economy

• The American economy is back under President Trump’s leadership

• President Trump highlighted that we have more American’s working today than ever than any time in the history of our country.
• Under President Trump, gas prices reached their lowest average price in more than four years.
• Under Biden, the average gas price was the highest it has ever been.
• President Trump highlighted how life changing Trump Accounts will be the “biggest investment in our children’s future.”
• Trump Accounts could provide newborns with $300,000 in savings by the time they turn 18.
• President Trump talked about the Warrior Dividend for America’s service members, which gave them a Christmas bonus of $1,776.
• President Trump talked about how he cut job killing regulations and lifted a record 2.4 million Americans off of food stamps.

Tariffs

• President Trump talked about how tariffs work, which is why despite the Supreme Court’s wrong decision, the Trump administration is committed to keeping our country safe, lowing our deficit, slashing cost for working Americans, and bringing business back to the United States.
• The President’s tariffs have delivered results for working Americans: bringing down prices and creating trillions in new investments in the U.S. economy.
• President Trump has continuously proven economists, skeptics, and Democrats wrong.
• The President highlighted how recent figures show the trade deficit in 2025 was $901 billion which is down from $904 billion in 2024.
• Treasury data shows the U.S. budget deficit edged lower for 2025 as tariffs and debt payments both saw new records.
• The budget deficit has shrunk by 17% in the first 4 months of the fiscal year.

Energy

• President Trump highlight how America’s Energy Dominance policies have led to record natural gas and oil production, making energy more affordable, and to putting America First.
• The President highlighted that American oil production is up by more than 600,000 barrels per day.
• President Trump said that natural gas production is at all-time high.
• Energy commodity prices are down over 7% and hotel prices are down over 3%.

Tax Cuts     

• President Trump pointed out that Democrats refused to vote for the biggest tax cut in history which included no tax on tips, overtime, and Social Security.
• President Trump: “The same people in this chamber who VOTED for the Biden-era economic disasters suddenly use the word AFFORDABILITY — knowing full well that THEY caused the increased prices, not us.”
• So far, Americans are seeing an average tax refund that is nearly 15% higher than the previous year thanks to President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts.

Housing Affordability

• President Trump discussed how he is delivering real progress in making homeownership and housing more affordable for American families. 
• Last month, President signed an executive order to ban large Wall Street investment firms from buying up single-family homes and asked Congress to codify the order.
• President Trump highlighted that mortgage rates have fallen to their lowest level since September 2022 according to recent reports from Freddie Mac.
• President Trump: “The annual cost of a typical new mortgage is down almost $5,000 just since I took office.”

Immigration

• Asked by President Trump to show support for the idea that “the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens,” nearly every Democrat in the chamber shamefully refused to stand.

• The President highlighted how his administration has delivered the most secure border in American history.
• President Trump: “We will always allow people to come in legally, people that will love our country and will work hard to maintain our country.

Healthcare

• President Trump spoke about his plans to lower healthcare costs.
• President Trump and Republicans have already worked to deliver lower prices and make healthcare more affordable for all Americans.

• Thanks to President Trump and his deployment of the National Guard, Washington D.C. is now one of the safest cities in the entire country.
• Under President Trump, America is safer than it has been in over a century.
• A new report shows the murder rate across the nation’s biggest cities plummeted last year to its lowest level since at least 1900, marking the biggest one-year drop in recorded history.
• In addition to the historic drop in murders last year, the nation experienced steep declines in rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults, shooting deaths, on-duty law enforcement officer deaths (80-year low), traffic fatalities, and overdose deaths.
• President Trump has also taken decisive action to stop the poisoning of Americans with fentanyl -eliminating narco-terrorists, securing our nation’s borders, and designating fentanyl as a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
